The Connecticut Wine Trail...welcome to a journey of wine exploration.
Connecticut has been blessed with a rich and bountiful agricultural landscape. From the lush soil and temperate climes our state bursts forth with all kinds of seasonal delights from the earth. Residing on the same latitude as the the Provence region of France, Connecticut is known for it's beautiful vineyards and many fine wines.
Numerous wineries dot the Connecticut countryside and are a popular travel destination for both wine afficionados and sophisticated travelers. The Connecticut Vineyard and Winery Association consists of 20 members forming the Connecticut Wine Trail. Blue wine trail signs mark the route through many historic towns with scenic views connecting vineyards along the trail.
We are fortunate to be located on the Eastern section of the Connecticut Wine Trail. The Eastern trail begins in the Connecticut River Valley, continuing northwest to Connecticut's "Quiet Corner".The trail then takes a turns towards the coastal wineries in what is called Southeastern New England's viticultural district ending in the historic Mystic Seaport area.
So on your next visit to the Eastern region of Connecticut consider making your trip a wine expedition.
