Your journey begins at our b&b where you can cruise just 6.5 miles to Mystic, walk 1/2 mile to downtown Westerly, RI or continue another 1/2 mile to the Westerly,R.I. Amtrak Station. Some guests even ride their bikes to Misquamicut State Beach or Watch Hill. No matter how you spend your day, the inn awaits you ... your chance to rest, relax, and reminisce.

The Morgan Inn is located in the quaint village of Pawcatuck, part of the town of Stonington, within a few miles of Mystic Seaport, Westerly, Rhode Island, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, Block Island , and the RI beaches.
The Connecticut Coastal attractions reach from the boardwalks of Ocean Beach in New London to the gorgeous sunsets at Stonington Point in the Borough. As you cross the border into Rhode Island the road leads directly to Watch Hill and the sands of Misquamicut State Beach. We are the perfect destination for a romantic escape or a quest for the connection to our American history. Come, explore, and even dress the part.
Our 1928 restored colonial has captured the elegance of the 1940's. The themed rooms set the stage and promise a"Sentimental Journey". This unique B&B has been refurbished down to the curve of the glass window panes, french doors and fixtures. The inn sits at the top of the hill traveling on Route 1 towards the Pawcatuck River from Mystic. Mystic and Pawcatuck are part of the Town of Stonington.
Each of our 1940's themed bedrooms is decorated with collectibles embracing an admiration for the music of this bygone time. Rooms feature sheet music for your enjoyment along with all modern amenities including A/C and cable TV. Antique phonographs and photo albums, at the inn, help guests travel back to the wonderful days of Swing and Big Band. Some rooms overlook the gazebo and hammock in the backyard.
You wake up each morning to the smell of Columbian coffee and muffins. Your breakfast also includes fresh fruit, a main dish, sometimes Portuguese sweet bread french toast, and bacon or sausage all served with candlelight and music.
The backyard is our sanctuary and the decks lead to the pleasantly surprising secluded secret garden. Every shrub, plant and tree has been planted and nurtured in hopes that our guests can take the time to rest, relax, and smell the roses .
Gatherings in the main room stretch beyond the fireplace and into the cozy sun porch. The inviting dining area and kitchen accommodate intimate weddings or meetings.
This early 20th century home has always welcomed borders. The Morgan Inn was named after the whaling ship The Chareles W. Morgan in 1961. This magnificient icon of American history resides in Mystic Harbor. The ship has been in dry dock at the Mystic Seaport but the restoration is almost complete. It is scheduled to launch into the Mystic River and journey again in the surrounding waters of Connecticut. We have been members of the Seaport for years and enjoy the sea air in all seasons.
The Inn truly offers a getaway for all occasions and a warm vacation stay with easy access to many areas promising memorable adventures.
